Fall 2025 Fundraiser
For 8 years after she was rescued by Australian Shepherds Furever (ASF) from a Kansas high-kill shelter, 16-pound Shani delighted old and young with her happy smile and beautiful blue eyes. This little Australian Shepherd touched thousands of people in person and online as one of the ASF Spokesdogs, helping to raise awareness and funds to help ASF save more at-risk Aussies in need. Although Shani crossed the Rainbow Bridge in August of 2023 at the ripe old age of 18 years, her memory and her mission live on. The Shani Memorial Fund has been established by ASF to help senior humans adopt senior Aussies (age 9+) with no adoption fee. Shani, who was somewhere around 10 years when she was adopted by the Cole family, proved that Senior Aussies have so much left to give and can achieve remarkable things in their Golden Years. ASF and The Shani Memorial Fund are partnering with Give & Garden to raise money for the fund. It has been decided that all flower sale proceeds will be directed to the Shani Memorial Fund. Shani loved springtime, flowers and the cool weather of the fall, and her adopters loved to photograph her whenever they could. Thanks to those amazingly beautiful images, Shani continues to touch lives and make a difference for others one bloom at a time in Shani Gardens planted all across the United States.
